международные стандарты бухгалтерского учета
рекомендации по ведению бухгалтерского учета для акционерных компаний, публикуемые Международным комитетом по бухгалтерским стандартам (IASC). Например, согласно IAS, ценные бумаги должны учитываться по рыночным ценам в конце года и не использоваться для формирования резервов неясного происхождения. Благодаря этому условию, инвесторы могут с большей достоверностью оценивать финансовое положение компаний (см. GAAP, generally accepted accounting principles)
